Install on your Mac

Paste one command into Terminal. Pic Magnet installs the local server, starts it in the background, and opens the Mac app when it is ready.

  1. 1Open Terminal on the Mac that should receive the photos.
  2. 2Copy and paste the command below, then press Return.
  3. 3Wait while dependencies and the local server are installed.
  4. 4Pic Magnet opens at http://127.0.0.1:4347.
Install command
curl -fsSL https://pic-magnet-v2.pages.dev/install/install.sh | bash
Requires macOS 12 or later. The first install may take a few minutes.
What gets installed:
Homebrew if needed, Node.js 22, Python 3, Pillow, OpenCV, NumPy, and a LaunchAgent that starts Pic Magnet automatically when this Mac logs in. Photos stay on this Mac.
